Lahontan-a golfers dream

One of the first words that comes to mind on the topic of Lahontan is “GOLF”.  When first developed in the late 90’s, Lahontan was the first private gated golf community to come to the Truckee/North Lake Tahoe area. Featuring an 18-hole as well as a 9-hole par 3 golf course designed by Tom Weiskopf, plus a large list of family friendly amenities and 910 acres of Sierra parkland, Lahontan has given itself a unique reputation in the area of luxury and class.

Camp Lahontan is one of the biggest draws to the community with a magnificent four-season recreation center.  Here you will find a clay tennis courts, a member’s swimming pool, areas to gather with friends and family for picnic and barbecue, a sand volleyball court, and a pavilion with locker rooms and showers. It also provides an idealic setting where you will find a trailhead for members to hike, bike, ski and snowshoe. Just outside the gates is one of Truckee’s most popular hiking areas of Martis valley with 100-acres of permanently protected forest, meadows and wetlands.
